Our First Star Champion...

Our featured star champion is ...


Colin Gregor


Colin is captain of the Scotland 7s, has played for Scotland A and has made over 100 appearances for the Glasgow Warriors. This year Colin has been working with a group of all boys at Balfron High School in Stirling where Colin is a former pupil.

Date of Birth: 31st May 1981 
How and why did you get involved in your sport? Dad used to play (for Watsonians and GHK) and Mum is from Llanelli in Wales so they were both mad fans of rugby!
Your first ever sporting success? Primary school Forth Valley league and cup winner. 

First international / ‘big time’ call-up: 2003 Hong Kong 7s.

Your finest sporting moment? Representing my country.
Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My parents.
Who has been your toughest opponent and why? New Zealand- they are the only team we have yet to beat.
What is your favourite moment in the history of all sport? Being in France when they won the World Cup in 1998. Although being at Celtic’s victory over Barcelona last year was also amazing. However, I expect Glasgow 2014 to surpass them all! 

Any phrase or saying which motivates you? Live life without regrets.
    Never wonder ‘what if?’

What is your advice for getting to the top: Work harder than anybody
    else, give your all and most of all enjoy doing it.

What is your biggest passion away from sport? My family.
