This year, Squash star Frania has been
working with the entire S1 Auchterarder year group as part of Champions in Schools. In her
first visit Frania talked about the importance of goal setting in her journey
to success. As a result, the pupils have been eagerly working on their
'destination' and 'journey' goals in advance of Frania's next visit. Some of
the pupils have big visions, such as becoming an RAF pilot, whilst others
aspire to do better in Art or PE.
The pupils took their booklets home
over the Easter break to share their goals at home with their parents and
carers. Parents have also been tracking the pupil's progress through the
monthly school newsletter. The group is looking forward to Frania's next visit
on Monday the 28th of April; researching Frania and her fellow Scottish
athletes who will be competing in the Commonwealth Games this summer.
It was a fantastic morning and I look forward to checking up on how the pupils are getting along with their goals!
